# Creating your HTT account

One account for every HTT platform — about two minutes. You will create your HTT account. It is one account for every HTT platform, and it takes about two minutes.

> **Note:** You need an HTT account for this. If you do not have one yet, the HTT Tech trainings show you how to create it.

## Step by step

### 1. Start

Go to H T T dot L L C, and press Sign in at the top of the page.

### 2. Create account

This is the HTT sign-in page. You do not have an account yet, so press Create account.

### 3. Handle

First, choose your handle. It is your name across HTT — unique to you, and used in your links and mentions. Use lowercase letters, numbers and underscores.

### 4. Password

Choose a strong password, and type it again to confirm it. You will only need one password for every HTT platform.

### 5. Your name

Then your first name and last name — the name people will see.

### 6. Submit

Press Create account.

### 7. Why two-step

Next comes two-step verification. It keeps your account safe even if somebody learns your password — every HTT account has it.

### 8. Open HTT Auth

Open the HTT Auth app on your phone. If you do not have it yet, open secure dot H T T dot L L C and set it up first — there is a video on that.

### 9. The setup key

In HTT Auth, press Add account. Scan the code on this page, or type in the setup key shown here. Press Copy to copy it.

### 10. Type the code

HTT Auth now shows a six-digit code that changes every thirty seconds. Type the code it shows into One-time code.

### 11. Device name

Give this phone a name, so you can tell your devices apart later — then press Submit.

### 12. Signed in

And you are in. Your name now shows at the top of the page, so you know you are signed in.

### 13. Your account

Open your account hub. Your profile name and handle are shown across every HTT platform, and this is where you change them.

### 14. Everywhere

From now on, open any HTT platform — HTT Schools, HTT Educate, HTT Fun — and sign in with this same handle, password and code.
