The pupil, their class, and the adults responsible for them. You will add a new student to your school, put them in a class, and add their parents.
Step by step
1Open Students
Open Students from the menu. Every pupil on the roll is listed here, and you can search by name or admission number.
2New student
Press New student.
3The basics
Type the admission number your school gives the child, their first and last name, and their sex. Then press Create student.
4The record
The student now has a record of their own. Open it to fill in the rest.
5Class and details
Press Edit to place the child in a class, and add their date of birth, blood group, home address and any allergies — the sick bay sees allergies in red.
6Family
Next, the Family tab. This is where the parents and guardians go.
7Add an adult
Press Add an adult. If the parent already has another child here, choose Somebody already on file. For a new family, choose A new adult.
8Parent details
Fill in the parent’s name and phone number, and how they are related to the child.
9Gate and calls
Tick May collect this child from the gate, so the gate knows she can take the child home — and tick The first person the school rings. Then press Add to this child.
10Emergency contact
Finally, add an emergency contact — rung in order when a parent cannot be reached.
11Documents and ID card
You can also keep the child’s documents on the Documents tab, and print their school ID card from the button at the top.
