From the score sheet to the printed card. You will enter a class’s marks, see the broadsheet work out averages and positions, and complete a pupil’s report card.
Step by step
1Results
Choose Results from the menu. The first time, an admin presses Use the standard setup: two tests of twenty and an exam of sixty, graded A to F. How results are computed then shows it, and Change adjusts it — once, for the whole school.
2Term and class
At the top, choose the term and the class. Below them are the subjects the class takes, and each subject’s teacher — the one person, besides an admin, who may enter its marks.
3Enter marks
Press Enter marks, and choose the subject. The score sheet is laid out like the paper one: pupils down the side, assessments across the top.
4Type the marks
Type each mark. Enter moves down the column, because you mark a whole class’s first test before the second. A mark above what the test is out of turns red, and each total adds itself up.
5Save marks
Press Save marks. If any mark is wrong, nothing is saved, and you are told which one to fix.
6The broadsheet
The broadsheet puts every pupil against every subject, with their average and their position in the class. Where a class’s curriculum does not rank pupils, there is no position column, and pupils are listed by name.
7Publishing
When every subject is marked, an admin presses Publish results. The marks freeze, parents can see them, and result-checker cards start to work. Withdraw results reopens them if a mark must change.
8Report cards
Report cards lists the class, with each pupil’s average and what their card still needs.
9One pupil’s card
Open a pupil to complete their card: the class teacher’s remark, conduct, and attendance — days present come straight from the register. Then press Save to report card.
10Print
Print prints this card. Print all, on the class list, prints the whole class at once — each card marked Draft until the results are published.
