The few things to do first. You will set up your school once it is approved: its details, its modules, and the school year with its terms.
Step by step
1Settings
Start in Settings, under Setup in the menu. School details — the name, motto, email, phone and address — appear on invoices, receipts, report cards and your public website. Change any of them, then press Save.
2Modules
Modules lists everything HTT Schools can do. Every module is included for every school. Turn off one you do not use, and it disappears from everyone’s menu; turn it back on at any time.
3School setup
Next, open School setup. Classes come first — the next video shows how to add them in one step.
4Year and terms
Under Year and terms is the school year, with its start and end. The one marked Current is what new invoices, registers and results use. When a new session begins, add it here and press Make current.
5Terms and holidays
Each year holds its terms, in order, with their dates. The Term button adds one; Holiday marks a public holiday or a mid-term break, so no register is expected that day.
6Departments and buildings
Departments and buildings is optional. Departments group staff and classes — Sciences, Arts. Buildings are only for a school on more than one site.
7What next
Then, in this order: add your classes, give each class its subjects and teachers, and add your pupils and staff. Each has its own video.
