Scratch cards for checking results online. You will print result-checker cards — the scratch cards parents use to see published results on your school’s website.

Step by step

1Result PINs

Choose Result PINs from the menu. Your school prints the cards and sells them, the way many schools already do.

2Generate cards

Press Generate cards. Choose the term — a card only opens that term’s results — how many cards, and how many times each can be used, so a parent can check again but cannot share it online.

3One pupil per card

Each card is locked to the first pupil it opens, and checking before results are released does not use it up. Press Generate.

4Print them now

The cards appear ready to print, ten to a sheet. Print them now: the PINs are shown this once, and never again.

5Print runs

Afterwards, the print run shows only how many cards are unused, in use, or used up — never the PINs themselves.

6Void a run

If a print file is lost or left on a shared computer, Void cancels every card in that run. We void these, since their PINs were shown on screen.

7Where parents use them

Parents check a result on your school’s own website, on its Results page. They type the card’s serial number, the PIN under the scratch panel, and their child’s admission number.
