Everyone who works at your school, in one place. You will add a new teacher to your school’s staff list, and see the record that payroll reads.
Step by step
1Open Staff
Choose Staff from the menu. At the top, you can see how many people are on the books, how many are working, and who is away.
2The list
Below is everyone, with their staff number, job and terms. You can search by name, or filter by status and department.
3Add somebody
To add someone, press Add somebody.
4Name
Type their first and last name — the middle name is optional.
5Staff number and job
Give them a staff number. It is yours to choose, but no two people can share one. Then their job title.
6Contact
Add a phone number and email, so the school can reach them.
7Terms and salary
Choose their terms — full time, part time or contract — the date they were hired, and their basic salary each month, in naira. Payroll reads the salary from here.
8Add them
Press Add them. The new teacher is on the staff list straight away.
9Their record
Select their name to open their record: their details, the job they hold, and their contact.
10What they may do
A new member of staff can see nothing until they are given a role — Teacher, Bursar, and so on. Give a role once their HTT account is linked, which the People and access video shows.
11Pay
The Pay tab shows their monthly pay, and the bank account, pension PIN and tax ID that their statutory deductions are filed under. Fill those in with Edit before the first payroll run.
