Set up the classes your school teaches. You will set up the classes in your school, and the school year they belong to.
Step by step
1Open School setup
Open your school console, and choose School setup from the menu.
2The classes
The Classes tab lists every class in the school, with its level, building and department.
3The usual set
Starting from nothing? Press Add the usual set, and HTT Schools adds the standard classes from Nursery to Senior Secondary in one go. If your school follows another curriculum — British, American, the I B and others — adopt it on the Curriculum page instead, and its classes are created and linked for you.
4New class
To add a class of your own — say a second Primary 4 — press New class.
5Name and level
Give it the name the school uses, and its level. The level groups classes together on reports.
6In the list
The new class is in the list straight away, ready for students to be placed in it.
7Edit a class
To rename a class, or change its level, press the edit button on its row.
8Delete a class
And to remove a class you do not need, press delete. A class that still has students in it should be emptied first.
9Year and terms
Classes run inside a school year. The Year and terms tab holds the session and its three terms — set these up before you raise fees or take attendance.
10Departments and buildings
Departments and buildings is optional. Use it if your school has more than one site, or groups classes into departments.
