Nigerian, British, American, IB and more, side by side. You will choose the curriculum your school teaches, link your classes to it, and decide how report cards are graded.

Step by step

1Open Curriculum

Open Curriculum from the menu. A school can teach more than one curriculum, and every class follows one of them.

2The templates

Press Add a curriculum. There are seven to start from: Nigerian, British, American, International Baccalaureate, Kenyan, Ghanaian and Montessori, or you can build your own.

3Nigerian

Choose Nigerian. You see its levels, from Nursery to S S 3, and its grading scale, the WAEC grades from A 1 to F 9.

4Your classes

Because this school already has classes, Link my existing classes is chosen for you. S S S 1 and S S 1 are read as the same year, and every arm of a class, like J S S 1 A and 1 B, is linked too. Nothing new is created.

5Use it

Press Use this curriculum. Thirteen classes are now on the Nigerian curriculum.

6Levels and subjects

Below, the curriculum’s levels show which of your classes sits on each one, and its subjects show the stages they are taught in. Add or remove either at any time.

7Grading

On the right is how classes on this curriculum are graded. Report cards use this scale instead of the school-wide one. Edit a grade or its starting mark, then save.

8Positions

Show class positions is on, because Nigerian schools rank their pupils: first, second, third. A curriculum that does not rank, like the Kenyan one, starts with it off, and then no position appears anywhere on its report cards.

9Classes tab

The Classes tab lists every class and the curriculum and level it follows. Change one here, or add a level’s subjects to a class with one press.
