For the office: the rules, the poster and the kiosk. In this training, you are the office. You will see who is in today, set the clock-in rules, print the staff-room poster, and run the front-desk kiosk.

Step by step

1Today

Open Clock in. The Today tab shows every member of staff: who is in, who was late and by how much, who has not arrived, and who is on leave.

2The rules

Open Rules and poster. Set the start time and the grace period. Arriving after both is late, and lateness is counted from the start time.

3Location and code

To make sure staff are actually on the premises, set the school’s location and require it, or require the code from the staff-room poster, or both.

4The poster

The staff-room poster is on the right. Print it and put it where staff arrive. Scanning it opens Clock in with the code filled in. If a photo of it gets shared, press New code and print it again.

5The kiosk

For staff without a smartphone, open Front-desk kiosk on a device at reception. They type their staff number and PIN. Five wrong PINs lock that number for fifteen minutes.

6Screen code

Beside it is a code that changes every minute. Show it on the front-desk screen when you want a code that a photo cannot reuse.

7Punctuality

Punctuality adds up any period you choose: days in, days late, minutes late, and the average arrival time, for every member of staff.

8Activity log

And the Activity log lists every attempt, by phone or kiosk, accepted or refused, with the reason. It is the answer to “but I did clock in”.
